Family Faith Formation in The Directory for Catechesis (or) The Home as the Locus of Faith Formation
"The family is a proclamation of faith in that it is the natural place in which faith can be lived in a simple and spontaneous manner. It 'has an unique privilege: transmitting the Gospel by rooting it in the context of profound human values. On this human base, Christian initiation is more profound: the awakening of the sense of God; the first steps in prayer; education of the moral conscience; formation in the Christian sense of human love, understood as a reflection of the love of God the Father, the Creator'" (Directory for Catechesis 227). Join Fr. Tim Donovan for an honest look at the state of traditional classroom models of catechesis and be invited into the vision of the Church beautifully laid out in the new Directory of Catechesis for a family centric model of catechesis. Children will rarely be what they cannot see. Learn how to move from religious instruction to a basic, essential, organic, systematic, and integral formation in the faith that can endure beyond the bounds of a classroom.

Unbound Ministry – a Model for Healing and Deliverance
Dcn. John and Karen Sheehan
Imagine a closed door. Opening the door represents liberation from spiritual bondage. This door has five padlocks, each requiring a key. As a believer in Christ, you have all the keys you need to be free from the influence of evil spirits. The UNBOUND Ministry is an approach to deliverance and healing prayer developed by Neal Lozano. The focus of the UNBOUND model is on the individual, their story and their heart. The UNBOUND ministry teaches how to listen and respond in Five Key areas as people seek greater freedom in Christ. This workshop is intended for those that might benefit from an Unbound prayer session as well as anyone (lay or clergy) who may feel called to participate on an Unbound prayer team.

Let's not forget about the adults!

Fostering Lifelong Discipleship by integrating Stewardship
Stewardship is a lifelong journey as we fulfill our call to discipleship. As educators, we strive to instill the foundations of our faith in our children. We want to give them the tools they need to be successful disciples throughout their life. The concepts of Stewardship and discipleship can be awakened in the classroom through curriculum, activities, events, prayer and more. We will focus mainly on what is stewardship, how we can integrate the message more into the classroom, and how our school can practice good stewardship through our giving, our actions, and our prayer. We will discuss some ideas of how to incorporate other concepts of good stewardship such as stewardship of the environment and community service.
